Analysis Benefits

Because your body is unique, and nutritional requirements vary from person to person (and over time), it is considered wise to analyze your own specific nutritional requirements on a regular basis. The foundation of your better health should be your diet -- the best diet for you. For some people, that may be all they need. But it varies, depending on other factors. For example, if you drink a lot of coffee, even though your diet may be good, you are more likely to need specific nutritional supplements because the caffeine inhibits your absorption of iron, etc. Or, if your diet is high in animal products, you may be losing too much calcium. If you smoke or are around cigarette smoke you may need more of certain other vitamins. Also, many prescription drugs can interfere with the way your body absorbs nutrients and you may need supplementation in those areas.

Even though you may be eating the same diet as someone else, you may be utilizing those dietary nutrients in an entirely different way from another person. And there are many other health concerns which can make a nutritional difference, too.

Most people these days do need some form of supplementation, mostly because it's harder to get the nutrients we need from our food than in the past. Agricultural soils have become nutrient poor. Foods are picked unripe in vast quantities and shipped to ripen artificially, devoid of many of the nutrients that only develop during field ripening.. Also, the advent of fast food eating has depleted our bodies' nutritional health. It should be noted that supplements are just that -- they are intended to supplement healthy food. Good food contains essential nutrients that are not available from supplements alone.

Your Analysis

I will nutritionally analyze your comprehensive lab work (supplied by your doctor or requisitioned by me) and conduct a personal consultation to gather as much information about your lifestyle as possible. Taking a few minutes to answer the questions in the Health Appraisal Questionnaire will give me a great deal of useful information about your nutritional uniqueness. The combination of all three major areas will allow me to identify many of the nutritional imbalances or combinations of imbalances that can uniquely affect your body and your health.

By correcting these imbalances (often by slightly changing your diet, or with the use of quality supplements) you will be able to strengthen your overall wellness, and improve your health in many specific areas, as well.

Please note that I am a Nutritional Consultant. I am not a doctor. I do not diagnose or treat disease. It is important that you consult your doctor if you suspect that you have a medical problem.

It is only after entering all of your answers and results in a computer spreadsheet and by comparing the relative levels of imbalances that recommendations for corrective actions can be developed.

Your recommendations are quite detailed and consist of both explanations of your deficiency's and advice as to which foods and/or supplements are nutritionally the most effective (and most cost-efficient) for you.

Your answers, taken as a whole, focus attention on your most important nutritional imbalances. Once you have corrected these, other, perhaps less significant, imbalances tend to correct themselves.

More and more doctors and medical scientists agree that it is important to build and maintain nutritional wellness in order to achieve lifelong good health -- for you and your family. Remember that you are unique -- and your nutritional requirements are unique.
